Apple sometimes sucks. Anyway… I have been busy the past several days, and no, not playing Halo 3… more running and doing other stuff besides computer stuff. So, what does my pleasure bring you today? How about some insight into the biggest project going on at darkTech, WebPak. What is WebPak, you say? It is a downloadable web development API. Why not host it ourselves? We believe in open source, so go ahead and download it. Edit it. Use it. We also decided to make it downloadable because if we release a new version, we do not want to break peoples websites. Thats not cool. Just download the latest version on the site, read the changes, make them to your site, and upload both the updated site and the new API. Bam, your done. So, what exactly does it do? Well, it makes developing a website that much easier. Using simple functions, for example, connorsblog_tab() and connorsblog_sitedata, you can create an amazing website by using a few of those functions. We also will include a beautiful CSS file, making your site look amazing from the start. Of course, you can change this to customize your site. Projected release date? Middle to late October for a finished version, probably second week of October we will have an public beta. By then the site will be up, so you can read some of the documents that pertain to WebPak. I am in the process of writing an intro to WebPak right now, and I will upload it to the Clog when it is done. Until I do, later.
EDIT: Uploaded.
