Finally, the last of the three announcements I am making on this final day of 2008. While it has existed in some shape or form over the past four months, today I am making it official: Facepalm Studios is my new company/team/organization, whatever you want to call it. While we don’t want to have too many projects going at once, we are going to be kicking off the new year with the development of Town Hall, followed shortly thereafter with the beginnings of the Facepalm Store, a website long promised that will finally make the light of day.

After that, we don’t know what we are going to do. Obviously a website is in order, but until we can get one up and running, we will launch a subdomain here on Masked Media that will take care of that for the time being.
So, who makes up the team? Right now, we have four confirmed team members, with a few other people waiting in the wings that we may bring on as full team members. Tanner Cheliak will be leading up overall product development on platform specific projects, aka applications on various operating systems, as well as tools that interact with various web-based API’s we will be working on. Steve Aversa will be taking over as the lead graphic designer, who will not only work on various projects, but also work with other graphic designers for future projects. Alex Claudio will also be joining the team, but as for his job title, we do not know. Finally, I will be joining as team leader, as well as chief web developer. Eventually I will split the two jobs into two distinct roles, and depending on the status of the team at that time, I will take whatever job is offered to me.

But since we are in need of a few skilled people to join our staff, I am going to be publishing a few job listings in the coming weeks. If you are interested, please apply.

Well, what a great year. Did I accomplish everything I wanted to? Yes and no. That being said, 2009 is going to be even better. But until that year comes around, this is Connor Wilkins, blogging off.
