Well, it’s that time of year folks. With Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference, WWDC, just a little over a day away, I think it’s time that I make some predictions about what we are going to see.

iPhone

- Similar design and shape to the iPhone 3G, but will no longer feature the shiny black plastic backing of the 3G, and have a more matte finish.
- Same LCD screen as in the previous models.
- Higher resolution camera (3.2 or 5.0 megapixels are a good guess).
- Will be shipping in 16 and 32 GB flavors; black and white.
- No front facing video camera: Let’s face it, this is just stupid. AT&T’s network wouldn’t be able to support this kind of data usage. Plus, it wouldn’t even work over EDGE.
- iPhone OS 3.0, and the new iPhone (2009) will ship in the beginning of July.

Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6)

- Snow Leopard almost complete. A new developer build will be distributed.
- New ‘Marble’ user interface: think iTunes 8 grid view, scroll bars, and components. from the iLife ’09 Suite (GarageBand in particular)
- Option for both Aqua or Marble interface..
- Snow Leopard will not work on PowerPC.
- Will ship in September or October for near-retail price ($80-130).

Other Random Tidbits

- No Steve Jobs. His next public appearance for the company will be a special Mac hardware related event in July or August.
- No Apple tablet. This is a developer’s conference, people, not a consumer show.
- Apple’s Pro software (Final Cut, Logic, etc.) needs an update, but I do not think that this would be the most proper of events to demonstrate them at. Not the right target audience.

Well, that’s all I have to say for now on that subject matter ;).
