Before I get into a very long, detailed, and emotional post, let me point out something. I have changed the permalink structure for the blog once and for all. Just click the post title to check it out.
So yes… my future. What do I plan on doing over the next few months? Next year? My life? Well… I plan on answering that very soon, and some of it right here, right now. Over the next few weeks I will make a number of very important decisions, such as my educational future (foreign language is one of them), business future (darkTech and Masked Media), as well as some other items, which I won’t reveal now. Maybe you will see an article posted, hm…, maybe 2 weeks from now stating what I mean. Anyway, my educational future. This has taken me some time to think, but I really do want to get into the web, tech, and media fields, even though it may not be as big as it is now. Maybe it will be bigger, maybe not. Its like video games: ‘Oh, I want to make games for a living!’. Sure, go ahead, except what you learn 4 years from now won’t last you another 10. You see… a career isn’t about making money, being in control, and all that other stuff. It is about revolutionizing the world. Microsoft and Apple did it with the graphical OS, Revision3 did it with web media. Facebook and MySpace did it with social networks. Ford did it with cars. The world needs people who can change it for the better, whether it means upgrading current technologies and making them better, making new ones, or just pushing that little bit extra to change something. So, what do I want to do? Well, something within the three categories I stated above, but as for what, I don’t know.
I did my short-term interests, but what about into next year? 2007 went fast. Incredibly fast. I really can’t believe how fast it went. I can remember New Years night as if it was last week. Maybe thats what happens as you get older. My New Years resolution was to make something everyone can use. I have been as close to that as I have ever been. The upcoming release of WebPak, as well as the first darkTech labeled product, have been milestones for me, because its a difrent course then what I have ever taken before. My old goal was aiming for money (hell, I can remember February when I was drafting up price lists for an old database application), but now I am practically releasing things open source. What do you think is better? I have also become a tad-bit nicer over the past couple of months, compared to earlier this year. Why? I don’t know, but maybe something (or somebody) made me change. My future is obscure… but hey, I try. I won’t be doing a winter sport this year, but will be training for spring track. XC ends at the end of the month, so I will be back working harder than ever. Maybe. I like resting a bit after school, having a snack, so on. But hey, its October already. Three more months left.
Next year will be different, I can feel it. 2008 will be my year. How? Why? I don’t know. I just can feel it. Maybe its something coming, who knows. We will see though. See ya later.
