Well, what a week and a half. My computer (more specifically my laptop) was on the fritz (fixed it by buying a new monitor. More about my new setup later on…). Anyway, so this is the new blog skin in case you haven’t figured that out yet. I was working on a new one, but it didn’t end up very good. So, as I said earlier, I adopted some of the colors over to this skin and boom, new skin.
I was going to post my article on my band/music/DC trip, but I never finished it since my computer was being stupid, so if I ever finish it, I’ll let ya know.
So, about my new setup. Honestly, its pretty much what I expected: Amazing. First off, my laptop screen was going (a 6 year old LCD screen, for your information). First it started off as a gray bar down the middle of the screen. If I flicked it hard enough, it went away. The past month was hell though. All of a sudden, 4/5 of my screen would just go white and not come back until I restarted. Solution? A costly one: a 19″ Widescreen Monitor ($200 at Best Buy, Dell SE198WFP). I was saving the $300 I had in the bank for a new rig, but since I wasn’t gonna get there anytime soon, I figured I would spend it on what I needed now. The other 100 bucks? $50 went towards the new Apple keyboard. Takes a while to get used to it, but I think I have the hang of it now. The other $50 was divided up between a 4 year extended warrantee on the monitor and tax. Oh, how I hate tax.
So, two big news stories coming from my life. And no, I still do not have a girlfriend, so just give up. Anyway, Hillary won last night in the Pennsylvania primary, which means (from what I’ve researched) pretty much gives her the nomination in my opinion, as long as she wins Indiana, Puerto Rico, Guam, and gets the whole Florida/Michigan thing sorted out. If so, she has this nomination clinched.
Secondly, I am in the process of working on a new website/network. What it is, I can’t say, though YoYo Games and 64Digits should watch their backs. I will tell you more about it in a week or two, after I get some deals going with another website to do a portion of the site for me.
Anyway, that is really about it. I probably forgot something, but oh well. I have a cold/allergies, and I need some sleep. Later my gators.
