So today is a very big day for the tech industry, as most people know. If you don’t, today is the day Bill Gates retires from his full time job at Microsoft. As such, Engadget has declared today “Bill Gates Day”, and I totally agree. So, have a good retirement, and it is truly the end of an era.

Happy Birthday!
Jun 23
Today is a big day for me. Not only is it the first birthday of the blog (yes, Happy Birthday is in order), but it is also a milestone: My first website kept online for a year. Odd, isn’t it, how a web guy hasn’t had a website for and entire year. Well, its time to celebrate. How, I don’t know. Crack open a bottle of Mountain Dew somewhere, and when you drink, remember the blog.
By the way, Masked Media launches in 7 days and 2 hours. Get ready :).
I’m Back
Jun 20
Please note that this was supposed to be published last week. Sorry for the delay.
Wow, it’s been almost a month since I last posted on here. I’ve been quite busy lately with school starting to wrap up, and now all I have is five days left and I’m done (well, excluding Finals and Regents). Anyway, over the past few weeks a lot has happened. First off, my birthday: Got a new computer (pretty wicked one, too), and set it up to dual boot Windows Vista Ultimate and Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.3). I’ve also started to work on a new project, somewhat in joint with XSoft Games, called Limelight (their version is called Livefire).
Wow, it’s been pretty much a month since I last made a post, and what a month it’s been. School just wrapped up for me yesterday, and all I have is a few finals (4 to be specific) in the coming week. First thing I want to do is say that we lost a true journalist yesterday. In case you didn’t hear, NBC’s Tim Russert died of a heart attack Friday afternoon at work at the NBC News Washington Bureau. It is a true loss to America.
In the past month I’ve had my birthday (May 24th), began a new web project with XSoft Games (of which I am somewhat a member of), and have begun to get ready for the Masked Media launch on July 1st. Well, my birthday was fun. Got a new computer (yes, God has retired), and it’s pretty wicked. Right now I have a dual boot of Vista Ultimate and Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.3). My new project, called Livefire, is a combination of my now-stopped web project ‘Limelight’ and a new social communication engine, Livefire. I will update you guys on what is happening with that as well. And, now, yes, we have an official launch date for Masked Media: July 1st! The launch will be a bit different than how I originally envisioned so many months ago, but we are going live, so that is good no matter what way you look at it. For more of the specifics, check out the post at the Masked Media Weblog. So, that is really it for now. I will post some more stuff in the coming days (including for the birthday of the blog in a few weeks :)).
